Naturfreundehaus in Schonungen

In my opinion the best Greek restaurant in Schonungen or Schweinfurt. Always friendly and the food is awesome. My personal favorites are the Athena platter, the lamb chops, the kokinisto and in the summer season the salad with chicken pieces 🤩. Then yoghurt with honey and walnuts for dessert Well, the tastes are different and there are plenty of other very good dishes on the menu. Now in Corona times we pick up our food. It is still very nicely arranged so that your eyes can eat with you, even if in the plastic container. The quality is still always the same! So folks and now enjoy your meal! 😋

Since we mostly eat animal-free food, we are not demanding when we go out to eat, but that was absolutely underground! Price to quality absolutely underground! The boss is unfriendly, the wait staff is not in the mood and forgets orders, so everything takes forever and only moderately frequented!

Unfortunately no vegetarian dish either. You have to make do with starters if you want to eat Greek. The food was good and the service quick and friendly.

One star for the great ambience. The food is ok, but very small portions for the money. Far too long waiting times and the staff is inattentive and very rude. (especially the boss!) You feel undesirable and it is missing Typical Greek hospitality. It's a shame, his predecessor did a lot better!

There were two of us in the restaurant, the view was excellent. There were also enough parking spaces. We had ordered Zatziki with bread as a starter, after 45 minutes the starter was brought with three slices of bread. The main course came accordingly later, about 30 minutes. Drinks had to be requested so that a new one was brought. The taste of the food was ok. When we ordered three more slices of bread, they were charged extra. Conclusion: If the waiter had pointed out to us that the kitchen was very busy, and had brought the starter earlier, the situation would have been completely different. It shouldn't be, too bad!

If I read here that the portions are too small, then something has changed here or some people just can't get their throats full! Food came quickly and was tasty. I can not confirm that the calamari are too firm. Rather tender as butter. Even the side salad convinced me, although I don't really care about it. One star less, as the reception can be a bit friendlier. Otherwise, the handling was fine.

After more than 20 years at the Naturfreundehaus again, surely another tenant who is VERY friendly, good service and delicious Greek food. The prices are reasonable as the food is quality! Great atmosphere, clean. Dog friendly, perfect for us. And there is not much to say about the fantastic view, the Naturefriends House at the top in Schonungen has always been known for that. We would love to come back!

Here it is advisable to reserve a table. We had a nice outdoor space and thus a nice view of the Main and later on the sunset. The menu is very varied and even with change requests you are very flexible. The portions were large and well presented. The food tastes delicious and the service was very courteous and attentive. Here you get a good price-performance ratio.

We went to the restaurant last night. In summer temperatures we sat in the outdoor area, which is very nicely decorated and great designed. The view is worth seeing. The menu was well arranged and the service was very friendly and always ready. Quality of my gyros plate was outstanding. Really tasty! Price / performance fits, I'll be back! Edit: 06.10.2019 been in the restaurant - 18:10 returned. 18:25 get the card - 19:45 got the food. Sorry - that's it .. I prefer to eat somewhere else ..

Very nice location and in good weather a magnificent view of the surrounding area. In addition to the typical Greek dishes, you can also get good pizzas. The restaurant is very well attended, but there is always a place for two.
